Qatar’s Public Works Authority (PWA) awarded the contract for the demolition of the buildings and facilities that were currently on site at the zoo, located opposite Aspire Park and Villagio Mall. These movements were part of a complete overhaul over five years with the plan to convert the zoo into a safari park.
The first phase of the new Zoo development was expected to be more than seven times the size of the previous 30 year old facility. The Zoo will include 3 hotels and one of the few 7* facilities earmarked for Qatar in coming years.
KEO International Consultants is serving as the projects design and construction supervision consultant.
PROJECT
Restrata was appointed by KEO International Consultants for the Security Services Commission as part of the overall project plan. Restrata worked closely with HHCP and KEO from the outset of this project to ensure early and cost-effective security planning was embedded within the Master Plan Design.
