Case study – THREE60 Energy

Location: UK

Restrata was appointed to provide Emergency Response services to THREE60 Energy in order to meet requirements prior to them becoming a Duty Holder Operator for the first time on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) in 2021.

“The Restrata control room facilities and services are excellent, as are the people, and the incident management software made it possible to run a remote event, which we considered advantageous.” Chris Allen, HSE Director, THREE60 Energy

THREE60 Energy offers complete asset lifecycle expertise within the offshore energy industry. Restrata provided a robust emergency response service enabling them to meet regulatory requirements, including:

  • 24/7 Control Room
  • Incident Management Facility and full Incident Management Team
  • Relative and Media Response teams
  • 24/7 HR Meet and Greet service for Hull and Norwich locations

Through careful planning, Restrata created a timeline of activities to meet the requirements of THREE60 and achieved incremental deadlines. The first activity was to support the writing of Incident and Crisis Management plans. Prior to going live with the full Emergency Response services, Restrata conducted Duty Manager and OPEP training, and familiarisation sessions to cover the response process and use of incident management software. Emergency Response exercises were then conducted to test response capacity and provide learning and development for THREE60 Duty Managers and Crisis Management Team.

Restrata offers an end-to-end solution but also retains the ability to deliver a flexible and scalable response service to meet varied requirements for companies worldwide. Restrata’s ability to perform all obligations within tight timeframes allowed THREE60 to focus on their staff time on operational duties and commitments as a Duty Holder with the peace of mind that Restrata would implement the requirement robust Emergency Response services within the deadlines identified. Restrata were also able to provide flexible timings to meet the availability of THREE60 Duty Managers and staff as part of the onboarding and training process.

Restrata has continued to pioneer remote response capacity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic powered by Restrata Platform. This was carried out with the provision of virtual walk-throughs of the control centre and site location, with visits to those centres to follow once restrictions permit. Restrata services and software have the ability to augment and deliver wider support through digital transformation, and also help reduce carbon footprint through improved efficiencies.
