BACKGROUND
The Dubai Harbour will be an iconic waterfront development, successfully fusing together a range of world class maritime facilities, including: a 6000 passenger Cruise Ship Terminal, the best superyacht marina in the region attracting visitors from all over the world, a 1,400 berth marina (the largest in the Middle East), 135 metre-high lighthouse
The 20 million square feet site is located between the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina and will combine several new and existing sites, including the existing Dubai International Marine Club DIMC), Logo Island, the Skydive Dubai Airfield, and several areas of newly reclaimed land.
PROJECT
Restrata has been engaged to provide specialist security consultancy for the design of the Dubai Cruise Terminal project. The terminal will be capable of handling the world’s largest cruise ships, and therefore must comply with the international regulations and codes that apply to such a facility. Restrata is highly experienced in the application of the International Ship and Facility Security Code (ISPS) to maritime facilities and ports, and will ensure that this new terminal meets the stringent requirements of the Code. We will also ensure that the needs of all national security regulators and agencies are incorporated into the design.
