In 2014, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) embarked on a major expansion program for the Redline in preparation of Dubai 2020, including the construction of the extension to the Expo Site itself.


To inform the security design process, a full Security Threat and Risk Assessment was required, and a full Basis of Design against which subsequent security work was to be developed. These documents were to form part of the tender pack to be issued to contractors bidding for the design and build work to implement the line extension.
