We delivered an 86 & 86+ Armored Car Course for the UNHCR team operating in multiple hostile environments.
Theoretical elements of the course included:
Vehicle types – The various types in operation worldwide, 8asic maintenance – How to look after armored vehicles, Specifications – The varying specifications of AVs in operation, Design & equipment levels – Different design and equipment levels, Wheel change procedure – How to change a wheel safely, Collision impact factors – Why 86 AVs crash and what happens when they do, 8allistic armored grades – What are they and how are they determined.
Practical part of the course:
Basic hands-on techniques, as well as on-road elements, such as: Vehicle Preparation, Observation, Anticipation & Planning, Use of Mirrors, Use of Controls – 8raking, Acceleration, Steering & Clutch (if applicable), Speed I Distance judgement, Progress & Restraint, Positioning, Signals, Cornering, Overtaking, Maneuvering – Reversing & Parking, Vehicle Dynamics.
