The Dubai Metro system is a rapid transit rail network in Dubai, UAE, operating driverless trains. The system has elevated and underground sections, comprises two lines (Red and Green), has 45 stations, and has 75km of track. The system is operated by Serco. The Dubai Tram, is a tramway located in the South of Dubai, with 11 stations, running over 14.5km, and serving local population movement.
As part of the continuous operational monitoring of the systems design, it is necessary for the operator to have Security Threat and Risk Assessments conducted on the system on a regular basis. The results of the assessments inform design updates, and operational planning decisions.
Restrata has been engaged on a regular basis by Serco, to conduct Security Threat and Risk of the Metro, and latterly, also of the Tram. The following assessments have been conducted:
