About Milipol Qatar
Milipol Qatar is the leading international exhibition dedicated to homeland security in the Middle East. The 11th edition of the show was held from 31 October to 02 November 2016 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), and Restrata were proud to participate in the exhibition to share our expertise in supporting those invested in improving homeland security in the Middle East region.
The worldwide exhibition of internal state security – Milipol – was organized for the first time in 1984 in Paris and occurs every odd-numbered year. In 1996, the State of Qatar chose the Milipol trademark for its international references to launch an event dedicated to homeland security in the Middle East.
The Milipol Qatar exhibition was held under the authority of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and is known for showcasing the latest innovative products and services and for covering all fields of public and industrial security.
Homeland Security and Restrata
A dedicated team of experts traveled to Doha to exhibit at the event, and were located in the UK Pavilion for the full 3 day event. The aim was to be on hand to discuss specific requirements with new and existing clients who had made the trip to visit the event.
A key focus was the solutions we provide within the situational awareness and tracking sector, with the team keen to discuss our recent project for Housing New Zealand in which we will track lone workers 24/7 via an app downloaded to their phones via our incident management centre in Aberdeen.
In addition, our single integrated software solution that addresses strategic, operational and tactical requirements for security, surveillance and situational awareness was another hot topic.
